Nomura, Asia’s global investment bank, today announced that Nomura Institute of Capital Markets Research (NICMR) will enhance the Group’s financial and capital markets research capabilities in Asia with a special focus on ASEAN countries.

Eternal Sun B.V. announced today that it has closed a €2 Million ($2.5 Million) Series A financing from Belgian investment firm Vermec N.V. The Delft based high-tech company that is specialized in solar simulation technology will use the investment to expand international sales and service operations.

Research published today by PwC shows that in the nine months to the end of September 2014 loan portfolios with a face value of Euro 67bn have been sold by Europe’s banks. PwC estimates there are transactions currently in process for portfolios totalling a further Euro 50bn.

Nomura Holdings, Inc. today announced that it has resolved to sell a portion of the shares of common stock it holds in JAFCO Co., Ltd. (2,200,000 shares, or 4.9% of the total number of voting rights).

ING announced today that, together with the Dutch State, it has completed the unwinding of the Illiquid Assets Back-Up Facility (IABF). The IABF was established in 2009, at the depth of the financial crisis, in order to reduce the risk and uncertainty for ING from a portfolio of US Alt-A mortgage securities.
