Three years after launching its Socially Responsible Investment approach (ISR) –showcasing a rigorous application of positive selection in the FCP Saint-Honoré Europe SRI and environmental criteria in the FCP Ecosphere-, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management is pressing ahead with its SRI engagement policy.
TRICOLORE RENDEMENT HAS INCORPORATED THE DIALOGUE AND ENGAGEMENT APPROACH WITHIN ITS INVESTMENT PROCESS
For more than a year, our SRI fund range had already been enhanced by applying a dialogue and engagement approach over ESGS themes [1] to the investment process of one of our flagship funds, Tricolore Rendement. This approach, which respects Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s SRI investment and analytical philosophy, is fully coherent with our voting policy at shareholder meetings.
“This fund represents the interests of a growing number of shareholders and combines a long track record with an expert understanding of French companies. It was only natural to integrate this approach”, said Pierre Nebout, Co-head of European equity management at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management
“Thanks to its size, a well-established market position, track record, and the managers’ in-depth grasp of companies in the portfolio, Tricolore Rendement is equipped to engage a meaningful dialogue with their senior management teams”, added Manuel Doméon, head of SRI analysis at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
FRANCE’S LEADING PLAYER IN OPEN-ENDED SRI EQUITY FUNDS
Resolutely focused on SRI, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management is now a dominant player on this market in France.
“Adding Tricolore Rendement to our SRI fund range confirms our engagement with extra-financial criteria which allow our fund managers to deepen their analysis while complying fully with our role as managers of listed equities. This also matches our long term approach to asset management.’ said Philippe Couvrecelle, Chairman of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s Executive Board.
With EUR 2.7bn [2] under management in its open-ended SRI funds, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management is listed in Novethic’s latest quarterly indicator, published in November 2010, as the leader in open-ended SRI funds on the French market and the fifth largest player across all asset classes [3].
