ING launches NL20 Index Sprinters

Today we proudly announce that ING Bank has started offering Sprinters based on the NL20 Index. The products will be tradable as of 16 June 2014 and will offer the possibility to profit from leveraged participation in the price movement of the NL20 Index.

The NL20 Index is a total return index that reflects the real performance of the 20 largest listed companies in the Netherlands, representing true Dutch entrepreneurship.

The NL20 Index consists of the 20 largest Dutch listed companies by free float market capitalization, which had their original IPO in the Netherlands. Rebalancing only once a year following strict rules set out in the index rulebook and reinvesting dividends the NL20 Index will serve as a predictable and efficient benchmark for retail and institutional investors.

Willem Meijer, CEO of TOM (The Order Machine): “We are delighted that ING as one of the largest issuers of structured products in the Netherlands is the first to create products based on the NL20 Index. Their creation of NL20 Index Sprinters is a good signal indicating the need for a true Dutch index and retail investor interest.”

Arjen de Blécourt, Head of ING Sprinter Desk: “ING always strives to be quick in recognizing new interesting investment opportunities. The launch of the NL20 Index is clearly one of those new products that is of interest to retail investors as the index represents the true Dutch investment universe and is a total return Index where dividends are reinvested to show the real performance of the index.”
